The Density of Ideas is a weekly post for paid subscribers. It includes a personal essay related to my own deconstruction process as well as a round-up of the reading, listening, and meditative influences I’m under this week.

_____________

Definitions for words I heard often as an evangelical child:

Blurt: say something suddenly and without careful consideration.

Opinionated: conceitedly assertive and dogmatic in one's opinions.

Impulsive: acting or done without forethought.

Hyper: unusually energetic.

Descriptions offered as an explanation for rejection. After enough years of application, these effective shame bombs drove my opinions inward.
