Yes! Occasionally I am disappointed when I look up an author or artist on social media and can't find anything. But it awakens me to remember that social media is only a segment of reality, and some pretty amazing stuff happens outside of it!

I did not grow up in fundamentalism, but got involved in it as a young adult. For a while, I suppressed my intellect and my creativity. I'd grown up in an otherwise middle-class, suburban area, with good public schools. I had access to art and culture and science. I had wonderful teachers who taught me a love of thinking and learning.

I buried that, but it resurfaced later. My ability to embrace the complexities of life.
